National Catholic Register: Archbishop Romero's Icon
The National Catholic Register profiled the icon of Archbishop Óscar Romero ahead of his canonization, when he became the first saint from Central America. The image was prepared for the moment the Church would formally recognize the Salvadoran bishop who was martyred at the altar in 1980 while saying Mass.
