A Wedding Present.
Vivian was wonderful to work with. She seemed genuinely excited by my idea and eager to write this icon. Because she is a student of the saints, I knew this sacred image would be well depicted and written in a delicate, precise, and holy way.
This icon was very elaborate and was done with exquisite detail and finishes. She chose to put ten stones around the halos of St. Joseph and Mary that represented my husband, me, and our eight children. These personal touches can only be done by someone who allows the love of Jesus to come through her work. I felt honored that she cared so deeply about our family and what this icon represented to our marriage for her to include this.

A Repeat Customer.
It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with Vivian Imbruglia on four icons now gracing the halls of La Salle College High School and providing blessing and inspiration to our community. We began with an icon honoring our Founder and namesake for the tercentenary of his death in 1719. From there, Vivian worked with me on an icon honoring one of our moms who died of cancer, sponsored by our Mothers’ Club.

In every case, as should be obvious, I have an idea with some words to describe it.
Vivian takes these thoughts and literally prays them into being. In most cases, our icons have been a reverential “spin” on the traditional rendering, and Vivian has entered into the spirit both of the religious mystery we are presenting and that of our school, its students, and their families. I couldn’t be more pleased and grateful to have these icons engaging our community in the charism of our Institute, which has always been about mediating the experience of God’s saving love into the lives of the young people entrusted to our care.
