Immaculate Heart and Sacred Heart
This representation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart is shown in a mix between the more traditional Byzantine Style and the Western Style. The letters on either side of Mary stand for ‘Mother of God’, while the letters to the right of Christ mean ‘Jesus Christ’. Mary holds the Child Jesus in her arms, while Christ reaches out, blessing the viewer.
All three members of the Trinity are present, with the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove and God the Father reaching out from the top of the icon. This is unusual, as God the Father is almost never depicted in traditional iconography.
The original image was commissioned by a family who were consecrating themselves to the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart. AMDG!

Because it is so light, it can be easily used in frames or hung on the wall with velcro command strips. Printed with UV-inks directly to the panel, Gatorboard® prints are both smudge and scratch resistant. These prints can be placed directly into the frame without glass giving you a beautiful glare free print.
